Daily Prayer To The Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart of Jesus, today I wish to live in You, in Your Grace, in which I desire at all costs to persevere. Keep me from sin and strengthen my will by helping me to keep watch over my senses, my imagination, and my heart. Help me to correct my faults which are the source of sin. I beg You to do this, O Jesus, through Mary, Your Immaculate Mother.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds, hide me. Separated from you let me never be. From the malignant enemy, defend me. At the hour of death, call me. To come to you, bid me, That I may praise you in the company Of your Saints, for all eternity. Amen.
Jesus, Who because of Your burning love for us willed to be crucified and to shed Your Most Precious Blood for the redemption and salvation of our souls, look down upon us and grant the petition we ask for ........ We trust completely in Your Mercy. Cleanse us from sin by Your Grace, sanctify our work, give us and all those who are dear to us our daily bread, lighten the burden of our sufferings, bless our families, and grant to the nations, so sorely afflicted, Your Peace, which is the only true peace, so that by obeying Your Commandments we may come at last to the Glory of Heaven.
O Blessed Face of my kind Savior, by the tender love and piercing sorrow of Our Lady as she beheld You in Your cruel Passion, grant us to share in this intense sorrow and love so as to fulfill the holy will of God to the utmost of our ability. Amen.
V- The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary. R- And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. (Hail Mary....)
V- Behold the handmaid of the Lord. R- Be it done unto me according to thy word. (Hail Mary....)
V- And the Word was made Flesh. R- And dwelt among us. (Hail Mary....)
V- Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. R- That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
LET US PRAY: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that, we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an Angel, may by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
To Be Said Instead of the Angelus During Paschal Season Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia: For he whom you merited to bear, alleluia, Has risen, as he said, alleluia. Pray for us to God, alleluia. V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. R. Because the Lord is truly risen, alleluia. Let us pray. O God, who by the Resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, granted joy to the whole world: grant, we beg you, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may lay hold of the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; Because he has regarded the lowliness of his handmaid; for, behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed; Because he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name; And his mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has given help to Israel, his servant, mindful of his mercy -- Even as he spoke to our fathers -- to Abraham and to his posterity forever.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of they Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me. Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much, I beg you to spare the life of the unborn child that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion. ( Fulton J. Sheen )
(A letter written BY the Blessed Virgin Mary to the City of Messina where St. Paul, the Apostle preached the Gospel., which has been preserved in the Reliquary of the great altar.)
" I, Mary Virgin, servant of God, very humble Mother of Jesus Christ, Son of God, the Almighty and Eternal, to all who are in Messina, health and benediction in our Lord. You have learned by the ambassadors who have been sent to you. You received the Gospel and you acknowledged that the Son of God has become man, and has suffered the passion and death for the salvation of the world, and that He is Christ and also the true Messiah. I beseech you to persevere, promising to you, and all your posterity, to assist you in the presence of My Son."
(Great graces are given to those who carry a copy of this letter.)
